Seeing is Believing Buzz - Girl Scouts of the USA announce First Lady Michelle Obama has agreed to serve as its Honorary National President.
In accepting the position, Mrs. Obama takes her place in a tradition stretching back to 1929, when Lou Henry Hoover became the first Honorary National President of the Girl Scouting movement. Since then, each successive First Lady has served in this post.
Girl Scouts plan to work with the First Lady on areas of mutual concern, such as healthy living, public service and leadership.
"From bullying to obesity to concern over the economy, our nation's girls are facing significant challenges," said Kathy Cloninger, Chief Executive Officer, Girl Scouts of the USA. "Girl Scouts is excited to work with the First Lady's office to ensure that all girls can overcome the challenges they face, and that they have the skills, resources and opportunities they need to become strong, independent young leaders."

Buzzing the blogs... Bullet in the chamber holla!
thefreshxpress.com - It seems as if lately, women especially African American women have been wearing the label "bitch" like it's Superwoman's cape. I don't know when this started perhaps Trina's to blame but I am appalled with what ease the term rolls off of men's tongues and how de-sensitized we, as a females, have become to it.
I guess this all started when I was reading the Facebook status of one of my male friend's after the VMAs. It read "Alicia Keys was the finest bitch there tonight." I thought to myself dag, I understand what he was trying to say but did he have to call her out of her name to get his point across?

In the film she takes part in the discussion about emotional attachments that African-American women have with their hair and what they are willing to go through to attain "good hair". Get the buzz as she quite bluntly talks about her hair, or better yet, her weave.

DryerBuzz.com SideBuzz: Chris Rock appeared on The View Wednesday October 17th. Barbara Walters had a sisters mouth hung open saying she actually thought African American Women went through the torture of the products to be like white women. The clock will jump backwards in a heart beat if you let it. Luckily Whoopi was there to set the kink straight. But it makes you wonder, what the?? did Barbara have spending all that time with Star Jones?
The movie is in theaters Friday. More details click here.
