If Atlantaheadlines lead with "1st white mayor" then change has not come to Atlanta. The city has to get beyond race. If race leads the victor, then Atlantawill have truly gone back in time. Atlanta's local news will more than likely fill its time slots with old outdated and race baited footage. After all the campaign, if that, has been about everything from race, gender, even Buicks against SUV's. We're half way through the Election Day. The city's police chief is ready to go (as he recently admitted with great frustration) - leaving with the old mayor. After the election when the dust settles, we hope to learn where the city is headed. BTW, we received a number of Facebook friend requests and tweets from the candidates which offered very little info by way of jobs, reducing crime, transportation issues, working with outlying cities or counties.
